A High gloss painted and lacquered Atlantic Staunton chess men in light cream and chery red combined with a gloss lacquered grey ash burl chess board. The chess pieces are fashioned in boxwood then painted, lacquered and polished to an ultra high gloss finish. The style is classic Staunton, the king is competition height at 3.75 inches. Each chess piece has been weighted for perfect balance.
The subtle tones of the chess board help reflect the stark red of the pieces and keeps the contrast between dark and light to a maximum. The light squares are inlays of light maple which compliment the darker ash very nicely.
