The cabinet has hidden magnets to assist in closing and the chess pieces are hand turned from Sheesham wood and Boxwood. The playing surface is constructed from thick inlaid Sheesham and Maple squares and is carefully polished to a contemporary soft sheen. Made in Northern India by one of the world's finest chess makers, this is vastly superior quality compared similar looking Chinese made chess cabinets.
