Staunton style inlaid wooden chess set with carved solid wood pieces. The handmade quality is simply stunning and makes this set a real show piece. This set comes complete with multi language instructions on how to play the game. The set features solid wood pieces that have felt on their bases. The pieces are carved in the traditional and familiar Staunton style, they look simply stunning when placed on the real wood inlay of the board.
Each chess piece is carved with lovely detail and varnished to produce a lovely set of chess pieces.The squares on the chess board are not painted or stained but made from individual pieces of wood inlay that have been carefully laid to produce the most stunning chess board finish. The pieces are housed within elasticised holders inside the chess board which when closed all folds away neatly and complete making it easy to ensure all the pieces are not lost. The set has metal hinges and a clasp to keep it closed when not in use.
